About Me
I run Firepower with my dad John and we've been supplying the trade with renewable heating equipment for many years - wood pellet boilers, wood boilers, heat pumps, thermal stores, spares and gizmos. Often the team will have initial discussions with homeowners to see which solution is most suitable for them, we can do a whole-house heating report which helps to identify insulation improvements, and to select the right size of appliance. If at that point everything is looking good we make an introduction to the local engineer. We have a permanent stand at the NSBRC in Swindon which is well worth a visit if you're planning on home improvements or a new house. They have regular events and exhibitions with impartial experts on hand to consult with. The NSBRC are an employee owned organisation, something we're also working towards. To help contribute back again and improve standards I'm on the Hetas technical committee, the BSI RHE/28 committee, and the MCS Biomass working group.
I also work with local sustainability groups to promote actions connected to climate & environment. I run a CIC called Begin By Starting which has various social and ecological projects on the go and am a Parish Councillor. In my spare time I appear to be obsessed with surfing 😉
