Anybody fancy hazarding a guess as to why/how my return temp’ exceeds the flow temp’?  Doesn’t seem right to me.

To be honest this Melcloud seems more trouble than it’s worth.  I only wanted it because I thought I could more easily and closely examine reports and view precise details etc via graphs.  Not sure the app isn’t more of a hinderance I can do without.

I think this is due to the scale of the graph. Look at hourly temps instead so it shows the flow and return over 60 minutes during the hours where the return exceeds the flow and it might just highlight when the pump is switching on/off or if you have a bypass valve fitted and you have a short cross over period where your heating circuit pumps switch off and the flow is sent straight back round to the pump. It can also happen if the hot water has just been heated at a much higher temp than the usual heating flow temp.

Three times now I have emailed MELCloud via their ‘contact us’ support link to no avail.  No responses at all.  So still unable to apply the ‘essential’ firmware update.  Somewhat frustrating.

Retrofitted 11.2kw Mitsubishi Ecodan to new radiators commissioned November 2021.
