Oops! I mean 40 degrees above STC! So at least 20% loss. Regards, Toodles.

Posted by: @marvinator80@toodles super comprehensive analysis, thank you Toodles. 👍
Here is a simple test that anyone with accessible solar panels can perform. Take a sheet of wood or even cardboard and cover it with kitchen foil. Then place the reflector near the solar panels, such that it reflects sunlight onto one or more of the panels, and then measure how much the output from the system increases.
@marvinator80 We managed 33.4 kW/h today and our best month (June) produced 1,104.4 kW/h; the best day as reported before being the 4th. With 51.5 kW/h. Regards, Toodles.

@marvinator80 Today’s production amounted to 31.2 kW/h. Regards, Toodles

We clocked in with a very handy 34.26 kWh today taking us up to 175.98 kWh for the last seven days.

@marvinator80 Life can be complicated! Our system has only been up and running since August 2022, so barely more than the one of each week of a year to go by but… Summer is definitely the highest solar harvest for us, come late August, we have some early morning shadows reducing the harvest; much of the shadow is from neighbour’s trees so come Autumn, these leaves thin and the shadow is reduced again. In spring, as the sun inclination improves the harvest, these same trees seem to gain their new foliage but the height of the sun is just ahead of them. A few years of PV production will be more meaningful I’m sure but for now, that is what I have noted. Regards, Toodles.

Did you try the test with the reflector?
@derek-m No need to carry out a test; I know the reflected light would provide a slight boost, however, not practical to implement . The ground mounts have a garden path to the West of the panels and setting up reflectors here would not be at all possible; permanent reflectors would not be aesthetically acceptable! Regards, Toodles.
