If you have had a change of SMP, it may be useful passing along all your concerns to see if they can be helpful. Other than provide what may be useful advice, there is very little else that I can do.
Hi Derek,
My MSP , Member of the Scottish Parliament, has not changed, my MP has , however, changed.
My MSP has done an excellent job in getting the repayment of Circa £5000 for my Heat Pump fiasco.
Later attempts at finding someone to blame for the many Heat Pump faults has been thwarted by the MCS and the NIC.
No matter what route I, or my MSP takes, I end up at exactly the same individual at the NIC!
This individual has repeatedly stated that "if all else fails , they ( the NIC ) would repair the Heat Pump ".
My anger at the NIC was further increased by the statement that " I ( the user) should NOT alter the Field bits within the Samsung , this being the sole prerogative of my installer"..................
My Installer was then STRUCK OFF , yet again, by the NIC for several different offenses.
A later conversation with the individual at the NIC produced the statement that "they ( the NIC) were NOT Responsible for re-instating my installer following the previous Strike OFFs".
Who could the NIC be pointing the finger ? .........................
Abandon hope!
I am , genuinely, a 76 year old pensioner who has spent some £14000 over two years in a vain attempt to get a working Heat Pump!
This two year fiasco has seen my installer , Struck-OFF by the NIC on several occasions, for "forgetting" to install a Flow Sensor on four ( 4!) occasions , forgetting to install a water Expansion Tank , Pressure Relief valve and not forgetting to fit the wrong Thermostat !!
My installer has , Shouted Loudly and offensively, defended himself by attacking me for changing various parameters within the Set up of my Samsung Heat Pump.
I , of course , am to blame for NOT stripping the Heat Pump of it's unwanted and unnecessary Heat Ex-changer , Buffer Tank , Second motor in the face of the Loud opposition of my "installer" and incredibly , opposition from the NIC itself !!
Nobody accepts responsibility for this fiasco , least of all the charities , the MCS and the NIC.!
I have a Heat Pump that was designed and built by nobody , actually physically built by Tel-ford to a design by Samsung neither of which accept any responsibility for this Fiasco!
Samsung-Dalliam , the Samsung field installation arm of Samsung, have advised that I pay a Samsung Trained local Scottish recent start-up to have the heat Pump repaired and or replaced!
BS 7593:2019 ??
How to you comply with BS 7593:2019
Have you performed the your annual BS 7593:2019 Tests?
Is your pipe water crystal clear ?
What is your pipe water Ph ?
COP OUT !
What is your REAL Coefficient of Performance ?
What is the CLAIMED COP of your Heat Pump?
What is the ACTUAL COP , as measured at the start of the Radiator Water circuit?
For example , MY Claimed COP is , on average 2.9 while my ACTUAL COP is 1.84 !
Measure your REAL COP with a Water power meter fitted at the start of the Radiator Water circuit.

I just moved to the German Standard, so zero chemicals. VGI 2035. Water when finished was cleaner, than I drink.

"I just moved to the German Standard, so zero chemicals. VGI 2035. Water when finished was cleaner, than I drink."
German standard?
What, if anything, did you do to meet the German standard?
Did you measure the Ph ?
As a visiting French Engineer said "Only the Germans REALLY know how heat pumps work!"
Ink like water?
My Own Pipe water within my primary water circuit , as observed through the observation port, is jet black.................... printers ink.
The Water within my Secondary , Radiator water circuit, is also grey black .................
I will have to clean both water circuits this year , being unable to afford last years £600 cost for Pipe cleaning!
Heat Pump sales abandoned
Having asked for quotes for Solar panels I have been told by several salesmen that they have abandoned Heat Pumps..............................
...........................Heat pumps are, apparently, "more trouble than they are worth!"

@johnmo
@johnmo Where did you get the water conductivity meter and the Ph meter ?
From experience the affordable Ph meters are useless having to be calibrated before each measurement.
As to a conductivity meter ........I can find no affordable and accurate conductivity meter on Ebay UK.
However, many thanks for the pointers to the German Water Standards .............

pH - following a recommendation, using drops
I have unit designed to fitted permanently, but using as a temporary unit. It measures conductivity and TDS ppm
Thermino ?? Advice , Experience ??
Given my two year long Heat Pump Fiasco I was very surprised to get a proposal to fit a "Thermino" Heat Battery.
The proposal is that my Hot water tank be replaced with an "Thermino" Heat Battery.
The "Thermino" , unlike my current Hot water tank is supplied with Electrical Energy from either the Off peak Mains OR a Solar panel array fitted to my roof.
The Cost of removing, replacing and simplifying my current Heat pump would be another £5.3k .
The Cost of the Roof Solar panels would vary between £7.5 k and £12k .
Does anyone know anything about Thermino ??
Invented by Joseph Black in Edinburgh in the eighteenth century this seems too good to be true!
Any advice anybody??
Lithium Battery Fire risk??
As part of a "Thermino " Heat Battery installation replacing a Hot water Water tank attached to a Heat pump
I have been given the usual assertive , contradictory advice on the positioning of Lithium Batteries .
The British Standard advice is that you SHOULD NOT INSTALL Batteries in the loft .
This "advice" is expected, later, to become mandatory.
Despite this "British Standards Advice" several salesmen have insisted that "the only affordable option is to fit the Lithium batteries within my loft!" and that they will ignore the British Standards advice .
