RE: The Battery Battle

By Old_Scientist, 3 weeks ago

I agree. I think a lot of it comes down to people's resistance to change, and an expectation of an experience similar to what they had before with an ICE vehicle. The notion that they cannot just pull...
RE: Mitsu Wireless Controller and MelCloud

By DavidAlgarve, 3 weeks ago

@robs Hi Rob, I really appreciate your information, and this appears to me to be much clearer than that which is given in the manual under: "4 Customising your Settings for Your Home". It seems that I...
Toodles RE: A Customer's Lessons Learnt from a Heat Pump Installation in a Large House

By Toodles, 3 weeks ago

@temperature_gradient As far as I am concerned you are pushing at an open door! I realise that the additional internal pipework may need to be increased to equate to the heat emission of a higher runn...
Toodles The Battery Battle

By Toodles, 3 weeks ago

Had I money that I wanted to invest in ‘The Battery of the Future’, (I haven’t, this is purely hypothetical and out of interest in others’ views please) where would I start investigating before inves...
RE: A Customer's Lessons Learnt from a Heat Pump Installation in a Large House

By Temperature_Gradient, 3 weeks ago

Just to add my observations, exploring a heat pump for a 4 bed house: 1. I was surprised how rigid and inflexible suppliers are about hot water cylinder capacities, with an existing cylinder in an air...
RE: A Customer's Lessons Learnt from a Heat Pump Installation in a Large House

By JamesPa, 3 weeks ago

By JamesPa, 3 weeks ago

What limit are you speaking of. So far I was aware dnos can, rightly, impose export (and import) restrictions to protect the network from phase imbalance, over and undervoltage etc. Are you speaking...

By SAEnergy, 3 weeks ago

@adamk Tesla is a great option, it’s also one we install a lot of. Again, not perfect as there are limitations in scalability and control can be very limiting for more technical prosumers. these da...

By Tim441, 3 weeks ago

Hradline in Telegraph: Brace for plague of rats after sweltering summer ....are now catching rodents longer than 20 inches Cost of poisons etc has gone up a lot so I suspect people will not be quite ...
What crazy nonsense are inverter limits and why are they imposed?

By AdamK, 3 weeks ago

I’ve recently found out a DNO can impose an inverter limit on a house regardless of if it can export limit. Why? This makes no sense unless they don’t want people storing and self consuming.
RE: Why so many sigenergi installer recommendations?

By AdamK, 3 weeks ago

@saenergy for me I feel the powerwall gives me for flexibility as it can change its inverter output without me having to buy another inverter. Also Teslas warranty seems more comprehensive. I don’t ha...
RE: Flexi-Orb Heat Pump Scheme: A Game-Changer for the UK's Heat Pump Industry

By Temperature_Gradient, 3 weeks ago

As a potential heat pump customer, it would be good to have some alternative standards which consider the real-world cost and disruption resulting from the requirements, with more flexibility to come ...
