Surely it is not beyond the capabilities of a government department to sit down with the relevant bodies to weed out the projects that are never going to get built, and then prioritise the rest in an order such that they do know what substations need building where and can make real progress towards rolling out that work at a national level. Or maybe I'm just an eternal optimist 😀

Solar generation completely offsets ASHP usage annually. We no longer burn ~1600L of kerosene annually.
