@HJBhome, it depends on your usage/habits. We lower the temp during the day and at night and raise it in the morning and evening. But only by 3 or 4...

@rv3, I didn't need planning permission for my 14kW Ecodan. As you say, it comes under the 0.6 m3 limit so is permitted development.

@heacol, thanks, all the rads have TRVs but they are fully open atm. I do have 2 zones though, bedrooms/inner hall and the rest (it's a bungalow).
