@myanthony, it's a horrible task trying to find something you don't know what it looks like and where it could be. Ours (as you saw in the video) was actually inside the heat pump unit so we needed to remove side panels to get it in. We then had it moved indoors for a much easier cleaning experience.

@editor yes we opened panels but it was just loads of wires I’ll pass on all Info he might know what Y filter is or where to find I think he’s just scared to break it

I can't see one anywhere in that internal pipework, and there won't be one under the external lagging...

Off grid on the isle of purbeck
2.4kW solar, 15kWh Seplos Mason, Outback power systems 3kW inverter/charger, solid fuel heating with air/air for shoulder months, 10 acres of heathland/woods.

My wife’s house: 1946 3 bed end of terrace in Somerset, ASHP with rads + UFH, triple glazed, retrofit IWI in troublesome rooms, small rear extension.

These are filters inside I tried the silver one other week and it was clear don’t know if these stop flow though

The 'Y' strainer should be in the return pipework probably just through the wall inside your home.

The 'Y' strainer is not that large and could have been lagged over. If you feel along the insulation for any bumps, or if you find anything sticking out of the insulation then post a photo.

It would also be useful if you could check along both the flow and return pipework and if you find anything that is not insulated then post a close-up photo so that it can be identified.

Are you certain that any electrically operated valves are fully open?

That is a good point. Our UFH Honeywell valve died two years ago leading to cold zones. It wasn't responsible for the flow errors, but worth checking.
