Mitsubishi Ecodan & MEL Cloud
Posted by: @gary@leftbacks unfortunately it does look like the heat pump is just too small for your property then
Sorry Gary, it is the property that is too large for the heat pump. 😋Â
Â
Posted by: @leftbacksThanks both, I believe I have my answers and although a costly one I need to get the system redesigned, calculated and installed correctly by a reputable and knowledgeable installer.
If it was my system, I would be taking the matter up with the installer and his professional indemnity insurer, since the design and installation of the system is not fit for purpose.
Â
@derek-m This will be taken up with the building contractor as it was procured by them and we have been going through the process legally for the past 2 years of allowing the installer the opportunity to rectify but fair to say after 10 visits and points raised on this forum still haven't been picked up says it all.Â
For my sanity is there a heat pump that would actually be able to service my home?Â
My brother has a similar size home just next door but timber frame construction and near passive haus and his system is of similar size but with 2 separate 7kw heat pumps and works great.

You need to accurately establish the heat loss for your home, then multiply this value by 1.25 to 1.5, dependent upon the make and model of heat pump required.
