How to choose Towel Rails for an ASHP
We are lucky enough to have space in both our bathrooms to accommodate a conventional K2 radiator to heat the room and a towel radiator for drying towels. In summer we resort to drying towels the old fashioned way by hanging them outside. The additional heat output provided by the towel radiator allows a slightly smaller K2 than otherwise would have been required to meet the MCS recommendation.
Samsung 12kW gen6 ASHP with 50L volumiser and all new large radiators. 7.2kWp solar (south facing), Tesla PW3 (13.5kW)
Solar generation completely offsets ASHP usage annually. We no longer burn ~1600L of kerosene annually.
