@mjr mine seems to have shut down as planned at midnight although the flow and return temp’s appear to be 20c. I was hoping the system would shut down but clearly that isn’t the case and it maintains a steady temp’.

Is there any point in using Holiday Mode unless there are sustained sub zero temperatures? I just turned the system off in the end after the DHW doing whatever it felt like. The house got down to 13.5 degrees over the 5 days we were away, the day we came back I turned it on at 10am and it was back up to normal temp by the time we got back late afternoon. I suppose if you had no data connection or just wanted to not worry about it then HM is an option, but the DHW factor is annoying.

Mitsubishi Ecodan 8.5kWh
4.4kW Solar PV
5.2 kWh Battery Storage
1983 build, 300mm loft insulation, cavity wall insulation (beads)

@trbob my reasoning is, if I forget, it will automatically start up on pre holiday mode settings ten hours, or whatever, prior to my return.  I’m old, forgetful and possibly returning home in the early hours.  That said I get where you’re coming from.

@trbob I've never had the DHW heat up during a holiday set on the FTC. Were you using the FTC or melcloud for DHW settings?
