Daikin Altherma Monobloc
I had the Daikin EDLQ07CAV3 unit fitted 3 years ago. It's a 7kw unit. There have been a few teething problems, more to do with lack of information and knowledge than the unit itself.
A minor problem I'm having at the moment is that the "water pipe freeze prevent" is always running when the outside temperature gets to 10 Celsius. It is just a waste of electricity in my opinion.
What I don't understand is why is it set so high, and aren't the pipes filled with glycol? In fact, I know the system is filled with glycol. Anyway, to my point. I cannot find the setting to adjust it down to, say, 5C.
I know how to get into the advanced user and even the installer settings, but I just don't see it in there. I've been in touch with the energy provider that organised the installation, but I just don't get answers. The guy that serviced the unit in June said he'd "have a look" then very professionally dodged the issue. I then forgot all about it till this week.
Anyone adjusted this setting themselves? I've trawled this site, and others. Some people have mentioned this very annoyance, but don't say where the setting is.
Cheers!

Much of the information in the manual is about as clear as mud.
I wonder if this setting [2-05] on page 62 of the attached manual is what you seek?
@derek-m Thanks, I think that is more to do with the room thermostat operation. However, the link you gave is similar to the paper manual they left me, but has way more overview installation settings than the book. My book just mentions wizard set up. Alas, both paper and electronic don't mention water pipe freeze prevent. I've checked the setting that confirms that glycol is present.
I got to the bottom of why e-On are playing hard to get, their two year warranty ran out, so I now have to deal with Daikin directly as I still have 7 years left on their warranty. It's not a warranty claim, I just need a bit help. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to help. Cheers!
@fazel did you delete the first reply? It definitely said water pipe freeze prevent. I think that was for a different model, but was exactly what I was looking for. It makes sense, if glycol present, water freeze is disabled. Thanks for taking time to reply. I'll try to contact Daikin and crawl through the corporate bull, they'll explain they can't give me the information, but can send an engineer out at a silly price! It'll cost more than the electricity I'm wasting. Ha!..
@derek-m I found the setting on your link eventually! It's right at the end.... A8 [0]4-04 ... 0- continuous, 1- intermittent, 2-no protection...
I've set it to intermittent for now until I find out if no protection is acceptable.
