No change, I feel as the machine has like the lowest setting it can go. Like the car idles but as the house is well insulated it can't go very low. When it first comes on for 2 hours. I can see it being around 23.5-24c but as the concrete starts warming up and the return is warmer and warmer it will rise to about 28c by the evening. To be honest, I guess I should not complain. It is great it uses about 15kw/day for heating the whole house. At this weather, I think it was 6c outside all day.

@andris

my ASHP starts cycling on and off under these circumstances. This is what happens when the outside temp goes fro 6 to 8 degrees. The flow gets too high and the ASHP shuts down for a while.

Weather Comp

As you say 15kWh to heat the whole house for a day at 6C is very good.  I would use about 25kWh at the same.

@kev-m Thanks, Kev! I feel better now. 😄 I'll try to raise the weather compensation to have a higher flow temp. Try the aproche off heat up when it is higher ambient temp outside and "freewheel" at night.

Hi,

The objective of the control system is to maintain the indoor air temperature rather than just minimise the water flow temperature. Where is your controller located and is it set to water flow temperature control, room temperature control or weather compensation control?

Are the 3 A2A units operating and producing any heat output?

We have 2 thermostats one upstairs one downstairs they controle the heatpump. But the weather compensation is on at the same time. Aprently when we connected a thermostat it turned on weather compensation automatically.
I set downstairs at 21c upstairs at 20c it comes on at 8 am. It will stay on till it reaches the set temp. Then off from that point till 8 am.( the temperature doesn't seem to fall lower than 20c.)

Yes I do use the A2A units to heat.
 I set the A2A units to come on in the conservatory and only one 1 in the attic ( it is too well insulated, and 1 is enough even though it is 50m² . It was an absolute overkill now, I know). When the heating is on a small amount of refrigerant always goes up into the A2A units, which is normal on TDM. I realised that if I just turns the A2A unit in fan mode setting 1 the lowest it will heat enough to heat the conservatory with the underfloor and the attic. U can always feel it when it makes hot water; the air is really hot when it comes out from the unit.
What I learned is that when it goes to deforst it does air-conditioning in the room for 3 min🥶. But it is only on 3min. On the other hand if it was turned on heating mode it would automatically turn of the fan at defrost to avoid this.
I hope it all make sense.
