I’ve just adjusted the curve as below so waiting to see if that has an effect first. If the ASHP is always on surely it’s just heating full time? That’s what appears to be happening here. Don’t want to hijack the thread from Justin.
Retrofitted 11.2kw Mitsubishi Ecodan to new radiators commissioned November 2021.
14 x 500w Monocrystalline solar panels.
2 ESS Smile G3 10.1 batteries.
ESS Smile G3 5kw inverter.
Good morning Justin,
That is an excellent COP for this time of year, their are some members on the forum who have been getting COP values of below 3.
I have just been on a Skype call with MarkC helping him set up his weather compensation and we were struggling to find the water flow temperature reading afterwards. Maybe you could help since you have obviously discovered the inner secrets of the controller.
With regard to control of your system, you could certainly replace the Honeywell thermostat with the Mitsubishi wireless remote controller. I am in the market for a new thermostat, so may be encouraged to take the Honeywell off your hands. For the time being, if the thermostat is still exerting control over the system then it would appear that the weather compensation still requires further optimisation.
I was reading further through the manual last night, (good bedtime reading) and noticed that there is a default setting of 30C as the minimum water flow temperature, which if still at this setting could possibly limit the operation of the weather compensation. Would it be possible to check this setting? The details are shown on page 38 of the manual under the heading .
Justin,
If you have time, could you please have a look at [Service menu] on page 38 and see what the default settings are on your system.
I'm currently trying to find out how I did what I did, & how to see those figures... 🙂
I'll try & get my default settings in a couple of minutes too
I think this is what you are looking for, hopefully.
You have 3 buttons along the bottom left of the unit: Menu, Return (the round arrow) and OK (the tick)
Press the Return button to activate (light up) the screen
Press and Hold the menu button for around 5 seconds or so
A whole new screen appears, looking like this:
Use the two central buttons under the scroll arrows to scroll across to the Service icon (far right).
Press OK (the tick) to enter the Settings menu.
It asks for a Password/Pin Number but I left it at 0000 & it worked for me
Press OK (the tick) again to enter the Settings menu.
Scroll down, & down, & down. On the third screen full of options you should find Summary of Settings
Press OK (the tick) to see what it has to say.
When you have finished, press the Return button (the round arrow) to get back out.
Select Exit Settings when asked, the use the Return button to return to the normal Home Screen
Hopefully this is what you need...
I can’t remember what I want to see ☹️

Justin,
Under the Summary of Settings does it show the minimum and maximum permitted water flow temperatures, and if so, what are they for your system? If fact, could you please provide a list of all the settings shown.
