By KoRWraith, 2 weeks ago

A long time has passed and after a short lived flirtation with Tomato Energy I've now landed on So Energy for my EV/battery tariff. There's some chat on Facebook regarding So Energy's exact off peak h...

By pipebaron, 2 weeks ago

Hi Guys,   I hope you're all good. I recently got a survey and vent test done on my property that shows my heat loss to be aruond 6.4kw. It's a three bedroom house with a converted garage as the...
bontwoody RE: Mixergy Tank Failure

By bontwoody, 2 weeks ago

@jamespa absolutely. But I think I might have to get the Mixergy Control unit to achieve that. Ill keep my eyes open on ebay. In the mean time I will also drop the desired tank temperature and maybe h...

RE: Grant 13kW Aerona3 - issues getting zones to temp

By JamesPa, 2 weeks ago

As you know balancing flow rates is very important. If flow from heat pump < flow to emitters you get significant system distortion (and thus loss of efficiency) because return water finds its way...

By Batpred, 2 weeks ago

Thanks for sharing this, it is clearly disappointing, BYD is exactly what I thought would be ideal... But better for Octopus to pull out than to sell you something that you would be unknowingly beta-t...
RE: Buying a new EV charger

By Batpred, 2 weeks ago

Thanks for sharing. 🙂   To be honest, right now I have a much better sense of what matters. I believe that I have things ready in my HA to be able to drive any dumb socket (or a wifi ena...
RE: Grant 13kW Aerona3 - issues getting zones to temp

By Crimson, 2 weeks ago

Just to be clear this won’t be a Grant LLH/combo volumiser. This will be a 4 port 80L max buffer/LLH. Due to space limitations. They've made no mention of flow setters etc.way back in this thread ther...
RE: Master & Slave Zones/Setback

By JamesPa, 2 weeks ago

Many, perhaps most, heat pumps run their water pumps occasionally (sometimes every 24 hrs or once per week) to prevent this.   With it being such a mild day and with sun your consumption shoul...
