Ecodan set back
Is it possible to schedule a setback temp on the Ecodan whilst in weather compensation? I have set up a schedule of temp's but they seem not to be enforced. Must I be in a particular mode to schedule varying temps?
Retrofitted 11.2kw Mitsubishi Ecodan to new radiators commissioned November 2021.
14 x 500w Monocrystalline solar panels.
2 ESS Smile G3 10.1 batteries.
ESS Smile G3 5kw inverter.
Certainly seems to work fine for me in Room Temp mode which is Auto Adapt. Are you using MelCloud - Actions - Timer to programme the set back?
@abernyte I'm not using Melcloud. I'm programming the schedule on the main controller. I may have to switch to AA.

@morgan hi,
We have been using setbacks while using weather compensation. You just set a schedule a little higher than your chosen room temperature. You are relying on the WC CURVE to target your chosen flow temperature. If you’ve set your WC CURVE correctly the temperature will rise only very slowly. It should ideally never reach the set target room temperature.
If you schedule a setback then the HP will switch into standby mode until the room temperature drops below the target setback temperature. It will then revert to heating mode until the setback is passed by 1degC.
But as you probably know the FTC screen won’t display a room temperature while in WC mode. We have the Mitsubishi wireless controller and that controller does display the target room temperature and the actual measured room temperature below it.
