OFTEC’s New Heat Pump Training Courses & HVO Update

Malcolm Farrow

We catch up with Malcolm Farrow, Head of Public Affairs at OFTEC, to get an update on the HVO trial and whether there has been any progress in convincing the government in the UK to drop levies and taxes on the liquid renewable fuel to bring it more in line with the cost of kerosene. We also find out more about OFTEC’s heat pump training courses.

Malcolm updates us on George Eustice’s Ten Minute Rule Bill in Parliament that supports the use of HVO in heating. The bill aims to reduce the duties charged on renewable liquid heating fuel, and could be a potential voting topic for rural voters in the upcoming general election.

If you’d like to find out more about HVO, please visit the Future Ready Fuel website.
