We chosen reliable company which offered Daikin Altherma 3 kaina best price company . We had no issues and service was great
Out of interest, does anybody know if daikin altherma 2 have sd cards like the altherma3? Just talking to guy at work who has the newer model and was asking me do i have sd card, seems to be usb port on front of the altherma 2 models but nor sure4 what for.
We have a Daikin EDLA08E2V3 Altherma 3 A and that came with a ‘Network Card’ ready to connect to our network and there is a USB socket just next to it on the MMI. My installer told me that ‘They don’t normally come with a network Card’ however, I’m not sure of this as it is firmly embedded in their manual and in the sales literature as well. My istallers had prepared the base area with three ‘sleepers’ for the feet to rest on - only to find when they came to unpack it that this model now only has two feet! Regards, Toodles.

Oh yes!, Sorry, forgot to say: The USB socket allows for a thumb drive to be plugged in and load pre-programmed configuration for the control and / or to save a copy of the configuration. Regards, Toodles.

Does it link to phone app to show usage etc. For my altherma2 i presume cant link to app as no sd card?Posted by: @toodlesOh yes!, Sorry, forgot to say: The USB socket allows for a thumb drive to be plugged in and load pre-programmed configuration for the control and / or to save a copy of the configuration. Yes, the card enables the MMI to communicate with iPadOS. And iPhoneOS in my case but I think Android is also possible. I can see ‘consumption’ and I think the granularity of their barchart is pretty rudimentary; nothing, 1 kW or 2 kW which I think is better then nothing but not by much! Though I have installed the app and linked it to the Daikin 7 or 8 times, it is still very poor and likes to tell me that it has found other units to add. When I allow it to look and install these new units, it just sits with a revolving graphic - the cows come home and the graphic is still revolving! The app indicates external temperature and there is a tab for service but there isn’t very much else so as apps go - it leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. Regards, Toodles.

@toodles cheers man. So i shouldn't mind too much the older altherma 2 model cant do this. Have external kwh meter and can see produced energy on unit itself anyway.
@newhouse87 I was somewhat underwhelmed at the usefulness of the Onecta app; I was expecting that the options on the tabs would enable me to see the same data (consumption and generation for a start) as seen on the MMI. Regards, Toodles.

anybody with a daikin, do ye know if BUH is enabled and runs during space heating when unit is in defrost mode. So far in December mine has run for 4 hours to aid space hating. Very costly im presuming and maybe unnecessary. Its needed for legionella cycle and last couple of degrees for dhw schedule i think but i dont want it for space heating.
Apologies for tagging onto and old thread and thank you for the information so far it has been more than beneficial with setting up my Altherma 3 and getting it to run more efficient.
In order to keep the manufacturors warranty, I had it's 1st annual service carried out last week by a sub contractor of the company I bought the unit from. (They organised the sub contractor)
Since the service the Electricity Input meter has stopped recording and is reading 0kWh for every day since. The Produced Heat meter does still work and records data but is of no use to me as I don't know what power the unit is drawing to produce the heat it's showing.
Has anyone ever come across this before? Is it a setting change or should I be going back to the supplier to have them look into it.
@crasher I have a 12kWh Daikin Altherma 3H HT ASHP. Coming up on 3 years. See the Worcestershire ASHP thread elsewhere on this site. I took out Daikin 10 year fixed price support contract. You should be able to call on the Daikin warranty if things are not working. Else we could have a video call to discuss?
You are better raising a new thread for an issue like this.
Daikin Altherma 3H HT 12kWh ASHP with Mixergy h/w cylinder; 4kW solar PV with Solic 200 electric diverter; Honda e and new Hyundai Ioniq 5 N electric vehicles with Myenergi Zappi mk1 charger
