We are excited to announce that Renewable Heating Hub is now an official partner of Heat Geek, marking a significant milestone in our mission to promote sustainable heating and heat pumps in the UK.
As a consumer in the UK, the prospect of installing a heat pump can feel unsettlingly like gambling. This sentiment arises from a landscape where the outcomes of installations can be as unpredictable as the roll of dice. Ideally, homeowners should always come out on top when investing in such significant home improvements, yet the reality is far from reassuring.
By collaborating with Heat Geek, our community can now access the Heat Geek Performance Guarantee as part of their new heat pump installation. At a time when subpar heat pump installations continue to affect homeowners in the UK, this guarantee offers a significant advantage for anyone considering an upgrade to a heat pump system, ensuring not only the quality of the installation but also the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the system.
When you use our specific link – https://upgrades.heatgeek.com/c/rhh – to access Heat Geek, you will benefit from a comprehensive warranty if you go ahead with an installation, which includes:
Manufacturer’s Warranty: This covers all components of your heat pump, including controls and cylinders, provided that the system is regularly serviced. It includes both labour and parts for any necessary repairs, ensuring peace of mind and protecting your investment.
Heat Geek Performance Guarantee: This extends beyond parts and workmanship. It guarantees that your system will perform at least as efficiently as quoted in your proposal, ensuring the lowest possible running costs. If the system fails to meet the quoted efficiency or if your home does not reach the comfort temperature, Heat Geek will rectify the issue completely free of charge.
Let Adam, the Founder of Heat Geek, explain.
Addressing the Fear of Botched Heat Pump Installations in the UK
Despite the clear environmental and economic benefits of heat pumps, many UK homeowners remain hesitant about installing them. This reluctance often stems from a growing number of reports regarding poorly executed installations, which have led to inefficiencies, high costs and significant frustration among homeowners.
Subpar installations typically result from a lack of expertise and experience among installers. Incorrect sizing of heat pumps, improper placement and inadequate integration with existing home heating systems can severely affect performance. We’ve now seen countless issues on our forums such as inadequate heating, excessive noise and skyrocketing energy bills, all of which undermine the perceived benefits of transitioning to renewable energy.
Renewable Heating Hub’s partnership with Heat Geek hopes to directly address these concerns. By ensuring that installations come with a performance guarantee, homeowners get a safety net that covers both the quality of the installation and the promised efficiency of the system. This guarantee is designed to build trust and provide peace of mind, assuring consumers that their investment will meet their expectations.

We’ve now terminated our referral partnership with Heat Geek because, despite their performance guarantee, we had no way to regulate or control the quality of the installs. Ultimately, we couldn’t stand behind a system where we had no leverage to intervene if things went wrong.
That’s why we’ve launched our own referral network… one that gives us more oversight and allows us to apply pressure on installers if there are any issues. Our goal is to connect homeowners with heat pump specialists who meet the highest standards and are held accountable for their work. Our network is small and exclusive, but the installers know that we’ll call them out if something goes wrong.
So if you’re looking for a trusted heat pump installer, we recommend checking out our referral programme here:

@editor… this sounds like a huge undertaking with a great service. best of luck with this new venture.
@SUNandAIR thanks for the support. Yes, it’s a tonne of work, but it’s moving ahead at a reasonable rate and I’m adding 1-2 installers a week. I’ve been contacted by so many, but if I don’t know who they are, and installers in my network can’t/don’t vouch for them, they get rejected. The screening takes ages.
@mars as a matter of interest have you got any near Stansted airport. I quite often get asked, do usually mention RHH, but of course don’t actually know if you do have anyone local which you recommend. I dont need the names, just yes/no.
