Renewable Heating Hub Awards: Nominate the Best Tech, Innovation and Installation

2026 Renewable Heating Hub Awards Nominations

The Renewable Heating Hub Awards are in their inaugural year and shine a light on the best (and sadly the worst) in the fast-evolving renewables world, with a clear focus on how real homeowners are affected in everyday life.

If you know of a piece of tech, a clever innovation, amazing app or software, an inspiring installation or something that fell seriously short of what was promised, we want to hear about it.

Your nominations help our independent judging panel, made up of experienced UK homeowners who’ve lived with heat pumps (and all their quirks) for years, decide what’s genuinely worth celebrating and what needs calling out.

Please read each category carefully and give us as much detail as you can. You can nominate in one, two or all three categories… it’s entirely up to you.

Nominations close on 1 October 2025!

Best New Tech or Innovation

Please enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form.

About this award:

Celebrates something genuinely new, smart or useful that improves heat pump performance, makes installation easier, cuts running costs, improves user experience or helps the wider renewable heating ecosystem.

Who can be nominated?

Any manufacturer, product, service, tool or add-on that’s been launched or meaningfully improved since 1 July 2024.

If you know who’s behind the innovation by name.
The company or brand behind the innovation.
Provide evidence that it works… real-world use, testing or pilot data is strongly preferred.

About this award:

Recognises a standout heat pump install that nails good design, performance and homeowner experience. It should be a clear example of best practice — something you’d proudly show to a neighbour or customer.

Who can be nominated?

Any domestic heat pump install commissioned after 1 July 2024. Homeowners, installers or manufacturers can nominate.

What challenges did it solve? What makes the design, performance or finish stand out?
Click or drag files to this area to upload. You can upload up to 5 files.
Please submit a mix of photos ideally showing pipework, internal plant room layout and external unit placement.

Turkey of the Year

Please enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form.

About this award:

Not everything goes well. This tongue-in-cheek category highlights the biggest let-down, blunder or disappointment of the year… a product, decision or trend that should have done better. It’s not about shaming for the sake of it, it’s about a gentle nudge to raise standards across the industry.

Who can be nominated?

Anything in the renewable heating sector: a product, a tech trend, a poor launch, a misstep in policy or a brand that dropped the ball.

Tell us what the problem was, who it affected and why you think it should be called out.
Optional, but helpful
