As we head into 2026, I thought it would be genuinely interesting (and fun) to find out who the “typical” British heat pump owner really is. Are we all Guardian-reading, organic-eating, EV-driving eco-warriors? Or are we secretly just a bunch of spreadsheet-loving bill-minimisers who jumped on the Boiler Upgrade Scheme bandwagon?
Let’s settle it once and for all with the Great British Heat Pump Persona survey. It’s completely anonymous, no email required and should take a couple of minutes to complete.
ASHP INSTALL: An absolute nightmare from the start. Our property has been ruined, we have a leaking roof, and the house is cold. We have installed two wood burners to keep us warm. Oh, the green Irony. £30,000 spent fighting government granted company that fitted our ECO4 ASHP plus solar.
@Mars This is a British oriented forum, but also attracting people from abroad. Do you want their data also in your survey, or only British people?
@Mosibi, our audience is 95% British, so that’s why I’m focusing on that. The British heat pump market, from what I’ve gauged, is massively different to Europe, Asia and North America (and this is something I want to investigate further this year). Having said that, motivations might be similar.
