I think they have a separate warehouse for deliveries that doesn't use the in store stock so that may be the reason.

Worth phoning the store to double check they have one on a shelf. They may also be able to get one transferred from another store if all else fails.

G Morning,

I know Brendon would be able to answer my question but …….

I have an Ecodan ASHP with the FTC in the cupboard with the DHW tank etc. Alongside that I have this Mitsubishi controller.

397

This is then controlled via a Heatmiser Neostat v2. I wish to have this changed to replace the Neostat with the Mitsubishi PAR-WT50R-E remote controller. https://les.mitsubishielectric.co.uk/products/controls/remote-controllers/par-wt50r-e-remote-controller
I am in possession of the above but need confirmation that I also require the PARWR51R-E in order for this to work?

https://www.swatengineering.co.uk/shop/mitsubishi-electric-remote-controller-par-wr51r-e

The problem is, as Brendon always stated, the neostat is basically an on/off switch thermostat and consequently I will never obtain proper weather compensation. Whereas the Mitsubishi unit is a temperature sensor that ‘talks’ with the ASHP outdoor temperature sensor creating a much more accurate weather compensation curve.

I would be grateful if somebody can confirm my suspicion please.

Morgan.

Hi Morgan,

To answer your questions. Yes, you will also require the receiver unit for the remote controller to be able to communicate with the FTC master controller.

Once weather compensation has been enabled and optimised, and the setting of your thermostat has been increased above the desired temperature, then your system should operate on weather compensation rather than thermostat control.

Once the remote controller has been installed, you will be able to set your system to operate using auto adaptation (Room Temp.) control, which will work along with weather compensation, to control your indoor temperature.
