@majordennisbloodnok, the more I think about it, the more I like this section which I have now added with some initial broad sub-sections that should be enough to get us started. I will probably push some content here from My Home Farm when we start posting it because there will be an overlap.

Personally speaking, given the name of this forum,  I would prefer to avoid confusion and make it easier to find information on the topic by sticking with topic as described in the name.  If I want information about bikes, lorries and cooking etc I can look at relevant fora.

Just my 2pennorth.

Retrofitted 11.2kw Mitsubishi Ecodan to new radiators commissioned November 2021.
14 x 500w Monocrystalline solar panels.

2 ESS Smile G3 10.1 batteries.

Can we please do something with the CSS, please.... There's a whole lot of grey on dark grey going on and it's really hard to see.

Links could do with being in blue too...

My wife’s house: 1946 3 bed end of terrace in Somerset, ASHP with rads + UFH, triple glazed, retrofit IWI in troublesome rooms, small rear extension.

@editor it’s probably set in a theme. There should be a theme editor/builder somewhere.

If you let me know what forum software you’re using (it’s a new one on me, I’m used to xenforo these days) I can do a bit of googling for you.

@hughf, the CSS settings are a tad annoying, because it changes colours that are “connected” to different elements - changing the colour for the magnifying glass above, for example, changes a lot of things to that colour which isn’t a great look.

New posts and notifications are now in red, which I thought was a good colour. Thoughts?

@editor CSS is a pain to work with, I’m building web based control panels for a product we manufacture and it’s a pain compared to traditional GUI development in win32 or OS X. We’re always advised to not give every single item a separate ID and instead use classes. That’s why stuff ends up being affected by seemingly different changes.

The red is a nice touch and makes things a lot easier to see.

The post has both an image and a link in it. I tried the image (it's just a chart) as both a png and a jpg and a pdf, and de-url'd the link (. -> dot etc). The link was the address for the Met Office's WOW website, hardly a risky link, but all of them got rejected

The error (shown above) appeared when I pressed the Add Reply button.
