Hanchu ESS - Home-ESS-LV9.4K (9.4kWh)

Plus 1 for my neighbour as we both had one fitted as part of Solar Together initiative. I don't find Hanchu support very good, documentation is ok, but their weather adaption I haven't really been able to get my head around although on paper it should work but is tied into your specific tariff, hence it's a manual process atm. Any help or suggestions gratefully received!

I have Solis 8Kw inverter and 2 * 16Kwh Fogstar batteries. No solar as yet. I have been on Intelligent Octopus Go since January this year and though almost doubling my Kwh use from last year my January bill was halved, and no gas of course.

If I did this renewables project again I would do the solar and batteries first to get a revenue stream going then add the other tech over time

We managed to get a revenue stream just with the battery..

I've only just seen this thread, although I've only had eveything connected up for about 6 weeks.

I have a Fogstar 16kWh battery, 7.6kWp solar array and a Solis inverter.

So far it has all worked well and is nearly our electric bill already, but a 20 kWh battery would allow us to run all day from the battery even in a wet grey February.

@toodles thankfully we have a range of tariffs to meet most people's needs. I am just one of those edge cases so require a little extra technology to make it financially viable.

The Missus has to replace her lease car in May and thankfully has chosen an Octopus Intelligent Go compatible model this time so happy days! 🤣

@technogeek We don’t drive any vehicles and with our poor sight (my wife is partially sighted and I am registered blind), it is better to keep death off the roads! Cosy seems to be the best deal without any EV’s but at least, with 3, 3 and 2 hours each day at the cheapest rates, the scheme can work well with a battery charged at those times. Regards, Toodles.
