@mattengineer it's not a system as such. More that I had the solar designed with a place for batteries. It's meant that I've been able to expand my storage to maximise my solar capture and now with an ASHP I can take advantage of cheap tariffs. This winter will be the acid test of things. I might need to expand my storage if the system becomes too expensive to run. However I am still gaining credit Vs using it. Including what utility point owe me and what I have with octopus I am around £850 in credit for the year. It'll be interesting to see how November to February play out.

Happy to answer any questions on my system. This might not be the best thread for it. Feel free to start a new one and just @ me

@editor I guess I'd consider it. Depends what you want to know. It's not exactly a complex system, anyone with solar could do it. You just need to change the inverter to a hybrid and your on your way

V2G and V2H completely slipped my mind. Great questions to add.

Been fascinating to see some trialists at the extreme earning so much that they ended up paying nothing for their electricity consumption over a year.

Be interesting to hear their views on Kaluza and similar developments. https://www.kaluza.com/

Will this sort of technology be used on the best tarrifs in the near future? Things like Octopus Go seem rather dated and may have a limited lifespan?
